Dr. Francesco Valente graduated from the University of Perugia, Italy in 1988.
He is well-published in various scientific and professional journals. He has delivered presentations both nationally and internationally on implant dentistry and computer utilization for implant treatment planning applications in dentistry. He is currently involved in the utilization of CT-derived treatment planning and its use in the design of surgical restorative templates. Dr. Valente is a founding member and served as President of the Computer Aided Implantology Academy during the biennium 2005-2006. Dr. Valente is a founding member of the Simplant Academy and he takes a pioneering role in using and developing state-of-the-art technology that the SimPlant© platform is renowned for. He is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), active member of the Computer Aided Implantology Academy (CAI-Academy), member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP) and member of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). He was in office as President of the Board of Arbitrators of the Computer Aided Implantology Academy - quadrennium 2007-2010 and 2011-2014. Visiting Professor at the University of Padova, Italy, teaching "Computer Assisted Oral Implant Surgery" in a postgraduate course in 2008 and in 2010. Scientific journal reviewer for the International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery - IJCARS since 2010. Scientific journal reviewer for the European Journal of Oral Implantology - Quintessence Publishing since 2012. Medical Director at San Damiano Dental Center in Rome, Italy, since 2012.
